Directed by Véronique Bourgoin, Dirk Bakker, expert in photography and art publications, and Rainer Iglar, photographer and co-director of Fotohof. This volume is the result of the works of the young photographers associate of the Atelier Reflexe about the project Women in Europe. This volume shows too the pictures of the artists selected for support them in the project. EU WOMEN is an artistic project supported by the European Commission. The venture involves a sociological study and photographic creations about women in Europe ( their role, situation, condition, image), in association with several European artistic actors. In our post-modern society, woman’s image is a subject that is perpetually present, through its mark on our daily lives, persistent in advertising and mass entertainment, as well as through the analysis of its social evolution. We want to show a radical vision, where the mingling of fantasy, impertinence and commitment will reflect visual accounts in reaction to the time we live in.
